I always really enjoy doing the duo thing with Joe. It's a different dynamic, and the songs take on a totally different vibe than the full band shows. Plus, we had a particularly nice audience this night:)

I hadn't played a solo show in a long time, and this one was especially different because it was totally unplugged. Great little wine bar with a very attentive audience, so intimate. Thanks Debi for introducing me to that new Pinot Noir!

This was a pretty great show. Once in a while you have a performance where your band just reaches a new level, where playing together just becomes a more organic thing. This was one of those nights for us. can't wait to play here again!

It'd been a while since I'd played a totally solo show, so this was a fun experiment. It was interesting to focus on some of the new songs, as well as doing more stripped down versions of some of the album stuff. I definitely missed the band, the stage report as well as the safety net, but it was really cool to just be out there - just me and the songs.

After a bit of a break, it was really nice to have Andrew back with us for this show. I'd forgotten how much it changes the way we play to have him with us. This was a really fun show to play. I remember particularly having fun with some new new songs like, "She's Gone," and, "Carolina."

This was an awesome show. We had a nice crowd and everything seemed to be clicking together just rights. We really pushed into some nice new jams with some of the train-shuffle style songs like "Carolina" and "Angels & Devils." Also, I remember "Remains of Today" being particularly good that night.

This show was even more fun that the one a few days before. After a last minute cancellation, I was asked to fill in a few days after we'd just played there. We always love playing at Seattle's, so we were happy to be there again. This was a great show and full of new songs, fun takes on some things, and some nice improvs. Also, one of the first times I brought out my mandolin at a show.

The day after my birthday show was way fun. Again, the weather was pretty dodgy, but we all made it there and back in one piece.

Despite the lousy weather and a malfunctioning pa system (or rather a ground loop effect happening), we still had a great time. Seattle's is an awesome venue and we can't wait to be back there again!
